Good Practice Reports
In 2007, the International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children (ICMEC) released the Good Practice Report on Access under the Hague Convention of 25 October 1980 on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction and the Good Practice Report on Enforcement under the Hague Convention of 25 October 1980 on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction.
The Access Report aims to make suggestions for reform to improve the practice of handling access (visitation) applications in Contracting States to the 1980 Hague Convention. The Enforcement Report consists of empirical research on how enforcement of the 1980 Hague Convention return (and access) orders works in practice in a number of Contracting States. The research also focuses on identifying areas of and making recommendations for good practice in the context of enforcement.
ICMEC has also published national country reports on enforcement under the 1980 Hague Convention, as well as individual analyses of the procedures and systems of countries with the highest numbers of caseloads pertaining to this Hague Convention.
