The Honorary Board of the International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children (ICMEC), which was established in 2004, is made up of powerful, visionary women who are dedicated to working together to protect the missing, abducted, and sexually exploited children. French newspaper Le Figaro referred to the January 2007 meeting of the Honorary Board at the Elysée Palace in Paris as the “G-8 for Children”; and in February 2009, at the most recent meeting of the ICMEC Honorary Board in Egypt, hosted by First Lady Suzanne Mubarak, the Honorary Board adopted the Cairo Declaration, a call to action to protect the rights of children throughout the world.
